We are so excited to host SpringHill Day Camp again this summer!
February 17 is Tie-Dye Sunday and we are kicking off registration with major discount opportunities. Tie-Dye Sunday is an opportunity for your child to wear the tie-dye shirt they made at camp last year and save you tons of money! Stop by the table in the concourse on the 17th wearing your camp shirt and pay only $30 for registration. That is $159 off the current camp cost! If your child no longer has their shirt or has never attended SpringHill camp before, you may still register at the table on the 17th and pay only $40 per camper! Both are crazy good deals and will be the deepest discount we offer for camp this year.
Fish with us on Lake Mitchell! It is free-fishing-weekend, so there is no need for a license. You may bring your own gear if you have it, but it is not required. We will be entering the ice via a home on Lake Mitchell, so bathrooms will be available and chili for lunch. Bring your own snacks and beverages.
Meet at Res Life at 7:30am.
Do you need a miracle? There are countless examples of miracles God performed in the Bible and we believe He still performs them today. Come to this special service with an expectant heart, knowing that your Heavenly Father loves you and wants to perform a miracle in your life!
The service will run open-house style from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
Doug Bergsma is the Lead Pastor of Resurrection Life Church in Rockford, Michigan.
The son of a Christian Reformed pastor, Doug grew up the oldest of eight children with God-fearing parents who instilled in him a deep knowledge of the Scriptures and a love for Christ. After some wild teen years filled with sports, motorcycles, and hitchhiking across the country, he decided to fully commit his life to Christ. He became very involved in starting and leading a large local youth ministry. During this time, Doug’s father left the Christian Reformed Church and started Maranatha Ministries in Grandville, Michigan. Doug became the worship leader for that church, and it was there that he started to build and develop his Bible teaching skills in life groups and church services. He then attended Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas.
At Christ for the Nations, he met Barb, who was the Assistant Dean of Women. He and Barb were married in 1976 and went on to have 5 children. In 1997, the whole family’s world was rocked with a fatal car accident which took the lives of both Barb and their youngest daughter, Joanna (as well as the family dog). Through this tragedy, God has used Doug to be an instrument of grace and a pillar of faith to those who have witnessed his response through this difficult time.
Doug continued to be steadfast in his faith, as he wrestled with the changes in his life. While navigating this new adventure, God led him to meet Caryn at Resurrection Life Church in Grandville, MI. There are some hilarious stories about their courtship, but suffice it to say that he ultimately won the heart of Caryn. They were married in the year 2000. God blessed them with a miracle son, Carter, who was born in 2008.
So, where does all Doug’s excitement and passion come from? He would tell you it is his response to God’s amazing grace working in his life. Doug explains it this way: “He took me when I was worthless, just the way I was, and saved me. Then He transformed me and called me to the ministry of blessing others and teaching people how to walk in His grace. There is nothing more fulfilling than seeing a person find the true purpose and destiny that God has for them and to begin to walk in it.” Doug has authored two books and is working on a third book that outlines some of his story and experiences, as well as deals with difficult areas where Christians struggle. Doug also speaks at conferences and ministers the Word of God in various area churches.

A child dedication is not baptism, but an opportunity for parents to present their child (age 8 or under) to God, promising to raise their child according to His word. Believing parents who dedicate their child are making a promise to the Lord to raise their child in a Godly way until he or she can make a decision on their own to follow Him.
The American Red Cross will be holding a blood drive in the Thrive Youth Center. Free exclusive Red Cross T-Shirts and Cedar Point Tickets* while supplies last!
For additional information or to schedule an appointment, visit redcrossblood.org (Sponsor Code: RESLIFECADILLAC).
